The event was an excellent opportunity for the Employment Engagement team to speak with more than 30 employers about the Council's skills and employment support, particularly the recently announced apprenticeship levy funding of up to £400,000 for employers. The funding can help local businesses recruit apprentices, upskill existing staff or address skills and knowledge gaps.
In addition, the team invited employers to complete an online survey to understand their skills and employment needs. The findings will be shared at an upcoming Work Hounslow roundtable session for employers in March to gain further insight into their needs.
