These residents successfully passed the assessment centre conducted by Work Hounslow, including functional skills in Maths and English (pictured).

They are enrolled in our entry-level qualification course, which runs until end of June, at West Thames College Skills + Logistics Centre. This new programme is first of its kind in the borough.

In partnership with West Thames College, JobCentre Plus, and local employers, Work Hounslow is offering unemployed residents and young people the training needed to qualify as forklift operators, along with a guaranteed job interview with employers for those who complete the course and wish to progress.

This programme is another excellent example of how we are supporting residents into meaningful training and employment pathways, supported by local education providers and employers.
