Vacancy overview

This programme offers the opportunity for borough residents to step into the construction industry. Candidates must have a serious interest and capability to engage in the training programme.

Those who successfully complete the programme will obtain a CSCS Level 1 Labourer Green Card. This is needed to work on any construction site. 

By the end of the programme you will achieve the following qualifications:

• NPORs Plant and Vehicle Marshal course: Achieving a 5-year NPORS (National Plant Operators Scheme) card and certificate on successful completion.

• First Aid at Work: Achieving a Level 3 First Aid qualification, including a certificate that lasts for 3 years.

• Health & Safety Awareness Course (HAS): A CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) Health and Safety touch screen test at local test centre.

Location: Storex Self Storage, Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9AD. 

Site - Development site adjacent to 1050 Great West Road

Start Date: Training is due to start 19th June 2025.

Programme duration: 2 week training course

• Candidates must be 18+
• There are no specific academic requirements for this programme
• All candidates should have a good standard of English (writing and reading skills) and be interested in working in the construction sector

For more information, you can attend a Work Hounslow Construction Drop-in Session at Hounslow House. These take place every Wednesday between 2.30pm - 4.00pm.
