This charity's mission is to help vulnerable and homeless people to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. Their vision is to end street homelessness.

The purpose of the volunteer role is to provide additional support and welfare services, for the people this charity supports, in the Borough of Hounslow. Volunteers can assist the people the charity works with, and help achieve the aim of supporting residents to manage and sustain their tenancies.

Shifts: Availability: Mon - Fri. Mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Location: Community- Hounslow

• Make telephone welfare checks to people the charity supports, providing tailored support to help people sustain their tenancy and supporting people to be part of, and connect with, their local community.
• Research information about local community groups, advice / support services, and other resources that can assist the people the charity supports to resolve a problem or query.
• To jointly visit clients in their homes or the community
• Provide a written record of the contact and conversation had with people, and ensure notes are well written and can be easily understood by others.

• Must be 18+
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen and be empathetic to build rapport with clients.
• Awareness and understanding of the need for professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Motivation to support disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

• Be able to use your skills, knowledge, and life experience to benefit others
• Regular support and supervision from the team.
• Experience, training, and skills that you can highlight on your CV and in job interviews with professional references after 3 months volunteering.
