Description

As a Cooking Volunteer you’ll learn some great skills, like how to cater for large numbers and make nutritionally balanced meals, and because you won’t know what your ingredients are before each session, you’ll have a chance to get creative when coming up with every meal.

You’ll be supported by a Project Leader, who will help you to develop your hosting skills.


Skills you'll learn:

Teamwork: you’ll work as part of a team to help produce a delicious meal for our guests.

Cooking: you’ll learn how to cater for large numbers and how to make nutritionally balanced meals.

Creativity: you won’t know what your ingredients are before the session so you’ll need to get creative to come up with recipe ideas and produce a great meal!


Location: Feltham

Pay: Unpaid volunteering role

Hours:

  • Average cooking slot is 4hrs
  • No minimum amount of shifts required. Volunteer as and when you're able.

Essential criteria

  • No experience required, just be enthusiastic to learn and contribute.
  • You must not be barred from working with children and adults who may be vulnerable and at risk or abuse or neglect.
