Menzies are looking for efficient and organised Spur Agents to join their team at Heathrow, to deliver high-performance standards around all aspects of baggage handling, meeting the requirements of our customers and maintaining health and safety and overall good working practices in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times. 

Main accountabilities include:

• Responsible for ensuring the agreed baggage handling service standards are met and maintained

• Provide the required performance standards, and comply with Menzies policies and customer airline procedures

• The coordination of baggage delivery to aircraft

• Assist with rerouting/rush bags as and when required

• Ensure efficient and effective baggage handling to achieve customer SLA's

• Loading baggage from chutes onto Wessex / ULD's

• Use of ultra-BRS (Baggage reconciliation system)

• Drive and maintain all company equipment and vehicles.

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Operate to the requirements and standards of all company SOP's and promote these practices throughout the team culture.

• Follow all Airline Safe Working Practices

• On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically

• Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties including AAA in a safe and efficient manner.

• Report and damage, fault or irregularity to the appropriate body irrespective of the circumstances.

 

About You

The ideal candidate for this role should have a good basic knowledge of airport operations and customer and safety focused, as well as:

 • You must follow all safety procedures set down by the company.

• Follow all H&S regulations.

• You must be well organised, have meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, be proactive and forward-thinking, be able to work on your own initiative to specific dead lines and have the ability to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.

• Ability to work within a pressured environment being flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances. Be committed to the operation and have the ability to be flexible in times of disruption

• Team player with strong interpersonal and coordinating skills.

• A good basic knowledge of customer airlines.
