APCOA are looking to recruit customer and security focused car park attendants to join their team at Heathrow. As a Car Park Attendant, you will be expected to deal with customers and ensure the safety, security and service of the car park. You will carry out basic maintenance of payment machines, entry and exit barriers and other company equipment following comprehensive training. You will be expected to patrol car parks and have a good standard of deportment and behaviour that will always represent the company in the best possible manner. Previous experience of working on a reception and use of credit card machines and cash handling would be an advantage. This role is a 4 on, 4 off days and night shift pattern. You will need to have a full UK driving licence.  

Key responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for the safety, security and service of the car park customers, our client and property.
  • Carry out relevant basic maintenance of payment machines, entry and exit barriers and other company equipment.
  • Ensure that enforcement patrols are always carried out in accordance with the sites KPI’s.
  • Work on the reception desk dealing with customer payments, pre-bookings and using credit card machines and cash handling.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of customer care.
  • Assist with the cleaning of the car park including litter picking and cleaning of all public areas.
  • Assist the supervisor with tasks or problems within the car park as requested, support members of the team and attend regular team meetings.
  • You may be required to perform other duties within your capabilities.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent customer service skills and strong English communication skills as well as: 

  • Experience of working within either car parks or reception/customer service based role
  • Cash handling skills
  • A reliable and responsible attitude to work, including ability to be proactive
  • Full driving license
