Mitie are looking to recruit a self-motivated and organised Specialist Cleaner to join their team. Specialist Cleaners make the difference in meeting Mitie Quality Targets and to enhance the Passenger experience.

As a Specialist Cleaner your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
  • Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements.
  • Carry out a weekly check of all cleaning machinery in relevant Zone to make sure that it is in a safe working condition and reporting any faults to the Team Leader.
  • Report all accidents and/or potential hazards to the Team Leader.
  • Report any damage and safety defects on the premises to the Team Leader and log where appropriate.
  • Ensure all areas within the relevant Zone are cleaned to the required frequency and SLA’s.
  • To carry out Damage Control as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor
  • To carry out Fire Watch as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor
  • To step up to Team Leader as required to cover holiday/sick
  • To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder’s capability, according to the needs of the business.

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will need have great communication skills and excellent time management skills. You will have a flexible approach to the role and the ability to prioritise work load effectively.  In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven Customer Focus and Service Skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Able to work from own initiative.
  • Good awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Must be able to complete an Enhanced Disclosure in line with the Contract requirements.
  • Must fall into the required shift pattern as deemed suitable to meet Contractual requirements.
  • An understanding of RAMs and COSHH
