    On our structured Traineeship scheme, you’ll gain first-hand experience and on-the-job training in what we do. You’ll be expected to work full time on a rota basis. Our placements involve a range of working patterns such as shifts, including evenings and weekends, night work in our fast-paced Rapid Response Outreach team and Monday to Friday 9-5 roles.

    Construction Skills SWAP in Hounslow starting 13th May 2024.

     

    Work Hounslow has partnered with employers and training providers to present a Construction opportunity to upskill and obtain relevant training for 4 weeks including a work placement for 2 weeks then to interview for a role with our participating employers on the programme.  This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to enter into the construction sector.  

     

    Together with MIT and West Thames College, we are working in partnership with Notting Hill Genesis, CField and Telford Homes - providing a guaranteed interview programme for the construction skills SWAP.   Apprenticeships and local job offers are available to the programme with job locations based in the Civic Centre, Feltham area and Kew sites.

    West Middlesex University Hospital is recruiting for Mealtime Ward Helper.  As a Mealtime Ward Helper, you will have a key role to play during ward mealtimes on the adult inpatient wards.  You will work alongside the clinical colleagues to support patients; ensuring they are ready to eat and helping them to eat.  Also involves creating a pleasant and relaxing environment for people to enjoy their meals. You will support a number of wards depending on where the demand is.

    The ward helper role is a very popular role as it provides patient contact and a good insight and experience of working in a hospital. The role provides the ward with an extra pair of hands, assisting with non-clinical tasks such as talking to patients, supporting patients during meal times, making drinks and running errands for staff and patients.

    ·       Time commitment is for at least one shift per week

    ·       Shift are from 11.30am to 13.30hrs and 17.00hrs to 19.30hrs on weekdays and weekends

    The Hounslow Wellbeing Network acts as a creative/social space for Hounslow resident by conducting different activities across a several locations for community members to access,  feel less isolated and give a sense of belonging. The Wellbeing Network hosts regualr activities including Art Sessions, Crochet and Chat, Coffee and Chat and more.

     

    We are seeking to recruit volunteers to help us to deliver efficient and highly productive sessions for Hounslow residents.  Our network comprises of local people, friends, families, carers, and professionals living and working in the borough.
