Work Hounslow presents Skills Escalator 

Skills Escalator goals are to support Hounslow residents identify & overcome barriers to progression and present solutions.  Through up skilling and re skilling opportunities residents are able to increase earnings, reduce or end their dependency on in-work benefits by participating in this unique program.

The programme involves working closely with a designated advisor who will provide information, advice and guidance on an individual basis with a view to supporting each participant to improve their current circumstances.

Skills Escalator provides the funding for training, equipment and licences.  This is based only if the resident meets suitability and eligibility requirements of the project. 

To be eligible the participant will have to be a:

• Hounslow resident, aged 18+ and with the right to work in the UK
• 18-24 years old in work or unemployed and in receipt of a means tested benefit, e.g. Universal Credit or Housing benefit
• Aged 25+ in work or unemployed for fewer than 18 months and in receipt of a means tested benefit, e.g. Universal Credit or Housing benefit
• Seeking training opportunities to move into employment
