Foster care plays a crucial role in West London, providing a nurturing and secure environment for children who are temporarily or permanently separated from their biological families. This vital social service in West London addresses specific challenges and opportunities, mirroring the unique characteristics and diverse needs of the area’s population.   

 

The Young Person's Ambassador is a role within Infinity Foster Care — who will help support young people and children in achieving stability in the placement and secure strong outcomes before they leave foster care by undertaking consultations with looked after children and young people in care to ensure they are being listened to. The YPA will report into the Registered Manager. 

The YPA will:

 

• Carry out consultations with looked after children and young people in care

• Listening to the concerns and views of children and young people and enabling them to express these in appropriate settings.

• Enabling children and young people to be consulted and informed at individual level and collectively about matters concerning their lives, ensuring that their voices are heard and their views made known.

• Develop and implement a range of methods to engage with children and young people, including young people with special needs.

• Collect, collate and present young people’s views as positive drivers for change where necessary.
